Lauren & John's Wedding
Saturday was such a beautiful day!
I was taking a cruise on my bike when I passed a couple on 118th St. & 8th Avenue in Harlem. I heard them mumble, “Is that DJ Ness? Was that him?” I kept it moving… but I thought, maybe they recognized me from a past event somewhere.
Moments later, they shouted my name again—this time, a little louder! 😂
I turned around to take another look, and they approached me.
“Are you a DJ?”
I replied, “Yes… why do you ask?”
He said, “My name is John, and this is my fiancée, Lauren. We met you at a wedding event years ago, and I recently booked you for our upcoming wedding in November.”
Wow! John and I had been communicating by email, so I had no idea what he looked like. But he remembered that I had given him my card at his friend’s wedding ceremony all those years ago.
I’m glad they recognized me! We spent some time chatting about their upcoming wedding reception and how we were going to stage everything.
Their wedding reception was one to remember.
Sometimes, you never know who’s watching, who remembers you, or where a simple business card might lead years later. 🎧🏾🔥
Maya and Evan's Jewish & Indian Wedding

Maya and Evan had an incredible wedding reception, and I was truly happy to be a part of their special day.
Maya was of Indian descent and Evan was Jewish. They came across my website, listened to a couple of my mixes, and that’s how we connected. When we met in person, their energy was amazing, and I immediately understood how they became a pair.
Maya had total faith in me as their DJ, but I had to win Evan over a bit. 😂 Since Evan was a professional musician, he had a deeper appreciation for music and the performance aspect of the experience than your average groom.
Understanding that, I told him to rest assured. I understood what he wanted to deliver, and I had the experience of performing alongside seasoned musicians as well as spinning for all types of crowds. I knew we were going to create something special.
As we were planning the event, Evan told me he would be performing a routine with his dad and wanted my thoughts on how they should stage it. Of course, I was all in!
When their big day arrived, everything came together beautifully.
Evan’s performance with his dad was unforgettable! 🎶🔥 The reception was high-energy from beginning to end, and that dance floor stayed packed all night!
